Early July Race Report

Following is an update of Vitamin Cottage Cycling Team news over the past two weeks:

• Fitchburg Longsjo Classic, June 29-July 2 – Vitamin Cottage rider Renee Eastman took 8^th overall among a national caliber field in the 47^th edition of this classic New England Stage Race.
• North Boulder Park Criterium, July 8 – Beth Fisk took 2^nd in the Women’s pro-1-2 race and Christian McCarthy and Chuck Coyle were 4^th and 8^th in the men’s pro-1-2 event, which took place on a tight technical course during an all day rain.  The riders in the men’s event resembled bowling pins for much of the soggy race.  Lance Loehding won the Category 4 race.
• Sara Kay/Andy Finch Memorial Race, July 9 – Sharon Allpress won the women’s pro-1-2 race with Beth Fisk rounding out the podium for third.  The men’s pro-1-2 race saw the Vitamin Cottage lads stacking the top ten with Chuck Coyle, Christian McCarthy, and Dirk Friel taking 3^rd, 6^th, and 10^th respectively.  Bob Pinkerton took 3^rd in the men’s 45+ race.
