Vitamin Cottage Track Team continues Tune-Up for upcoming events

It was records night at the 7-11 Olympic Velodrome Friday night which lead to another night of lightening fast racing.  With cash on the line for breaking the track record in three scratch events of 1, 5 and 10 miles,  the Pro 1/2 field was highly motivated.  Vic Williams continued to show great form as he finished 2nd in the nights opening 1 mile event with teammate Jeff Paul finishing closely behind in 4th place.  Vic and Jeff continued to race at the front of the pack resulting in 3rd and 6th place finishes in the 5 mile event, followed by a 4th and 5th place finish in the 10 mile event.  Correction from the previous posting on record setting.  Track records were set for the 1 mile (1:46) and 5 mile (10:39).  The 10 mile record of 18:39 is safe for another year.

Confirmations from P12 racers around the nation as well as  international competitors continue to come in for the UCI Independence Day Gran Prix http://www.cvaracing.org/flyers/independenceGranPrix.html to be held on the3rd and 4th of July.
